Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using MP3 Cutter, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use the service.

Description of Service

MP3 Cutter is a free, browser-based audio editing tool that lets you trim, cut, convert, and process audio files. Editing and preview run locally in your browser. Exporting uploads your file to our processing server over an encrypted connection; it is converted, returned to you, and deleted immediately afterwards. The voice recorder is entirely local and does not contact our server.

Your Content and Rights

You keep all rights to the audio you upload. Uploading a file grants us no ownership of it and no licence beyond what is technically required to perform the single conversion you asked for and return the result to you. We do not use your audio to train anything, and we do not retain it.

You are responsible for holding the rights to the audio you process. Owning a copy of a recording is not the same as holding the rights to redistribute or remix it, and using a tool on this site does not grant you any rights you did not already have.

Acceptable Use

Do not use MP3 Cutter to process content you have no right to use, to create material that is unlawful, to impersonate a real person's voice for deception, or to produce content that harasses, defames, or sexualises anyone. Do not attempt to overwhelm, probe, or circumvent the service: automated or scripted use, bypassing the rate limit, and attempting to reach the processing backend outside the website are all prohibited.

We may block access where use appears abusive or places the service at risk. Because there are no accounts, this generally takes the form of rate limiting or blocking rather than any action against an individual.

Use License

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use MP3 Cutter for personal and commercial purposes, including audio you go on to publish or sell. You may not reverse-engineer, modify, or redistribute the application itself, or present it as your own service.

Service Limits and Availability

Uploads are limited to 500 MB per file. Exports are rate limited to keep the service responsive for everyone. Individual tools carry their own limits, which are documented on their pages — for example ringtones are capped at 40 seconds, audio can be merged from at most 50 files at a time, and vocal removal requires a stereo source.

The service is offered free of charge and without any guarantee of availability. We may change, limit, or discontinue any tool at any time. Keep your original files: since nothing is stored on our side, a failed or interrupted export cannot be recovered or resent.

Advertising

This site is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense. Adverts and any sites they lead to are not operated, reviewed, or endorsed by us, and we are not responsible for their content, products, or practices. What data advertising vendors collect and how to limit it is set out in our Privacy Policy. Interfering with how ads are served — including clicking your own ads or encouraging others to click them — is not permitted.

Disclaimer of Warranties

MP3 Cutter is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any conversion will produce a particular quality of result, or that a given tool will suit your material. Audio processing is lossy in places by nature: check every exported file before you rely on it.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MP3 Cutter and its operator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, audio, revenue, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MP3 Cutter and its operator against any claim, demand, or expense arising from audio you processed using the service or from your breach of these terms — in particular any claim that the material you uploaded infringed someone else's rights.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of MP3 Cutter is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated revision date, and continued use of the service after that constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
